He was great to speak to and pointed something profound out that two other therapists didn't. It was mind blowing and "stuck". His office is cozy and comfy. I felt safe to speak about my life. His front office staff were super sweet to speak to before meeting with Dr. Hand--I didn't catch their names but it was two of them. I highly recommend Dr. Hand.

Needed appointment to go through Bariatric pathway, staff was unprofessional and had issues with email (wasn't receiving the pdf file of the paperwork required) and things got complicated. Eventually, my GS told me I no longer required surgery so I canceled things out. Few months later I was diagnosed with hiatal hernia and GS suggested I return to Bariatric Pathway as it was the best solution for my hernia. Was referred again to Dr. Hand in which they immediately cut ties with me and VA in regards to me specifically. Very unprofessional. It was not my fault I had to reschedule then cancel the first time as the pathway was becoming complicated and I was enduring other critical health conditions not associated with this surgery, requiring emergency treatments. These people have no regard for patients. Some patients such as myself live a very complicated life health-wise, I tried my best being as orderly as possible but life had other plans. Doesn’t give the right for this business to act so harshly. All you people had to say is that your services cannot accommodate me. Not act harshly and unprofessional. I’ve spoken with other veterans who’ve needed to go through Dr Hand and have had to go somewhere else because of how rude and unprofessional the people in this office are. If you are a patient like myself that have to constantly tend to various appointments and treatments do not bother coming here, they are not patient or considerate.

I am incredibly thankful for the exceptional care provided by Dr. Michael Hand. We were fortunate to connect with him after facing numerous challenges in securing the necessary diagnosis for our son. Dr. Hand demonstrated remarkable efficiency in getting us the timely evaluation and support required by the school. While other places had us waiting for months, Dr. Hand's swift and thorough approach was a true blessing. The office staff is highly unprofessional. At my initial consultation visit, they forgot to give me a packet of paperwork that was crucial for my child's testing. They waited two weeks before calling me to see if I had it. When I said I didn't, they asked me to physically come in and pick it up. I let them know my schedule is extremely full and it's difficult for me to get all the way out to the west side. I asked them to scan and email the paperwork; they could not. I asked them to mail me the paperwork. One of the staff then told me that they stopped mailing anything to clients and didn't have the right envelopes; she'd have to go to the store; it's so expensive, etc. This is a mistake THEY made. Any professional, trained staff would have taken the initiative to mail the packet out to me the moment I told them it was difficult for me to travel. Instead, the onus is on me and I get guilt-tripped to boot! This guy has a PhD--his office should be able to afford envelopes. As far as the doctor himself, he seemed cordial during our consultation, although he saw me laboring to compose three children and didn't offer any toys for them. It wasn't until the end of the visit that they found a whole bucket of toys stored beneath a table. Like, come on man, I'm a mother of small children and children with special needs. Do me a solid and bring the toys out next time instead of bemusedly watching me struggle.
