The reception staff were very welcoming and friendly, helping with our bags. The volunteer at the time gave us some useful information. ||We had a 6 bed dorm to ourselves, bunk beds were comfortable enough though the room was basic. The hostel has a nice outdoor area to sit in, the dorm room is unbearably hot to sit in during the day. The air conditioning is only on through the night, we asked for it to be turned on 15 minutes early so we could get an early night and the staff said no, keeping in mind it was just 15 minutes and would have made us much more comfortable I thought this was a little unfair. ||The breakfast was a ready mix pancake which was quite rubbery, not very enjoyable. Fresh fruits to go with it would be appreciated. ||The location was ok, a bit of a walk to the metro but there were lots of restaurants and cheaper fast food places nearby. For a very short stay on a tight budget this would be an OK option. We felt safe in the area.

Enjoyable ambience let down in my case by very basic small single accommodation with no room facilities which meant room was not somewhere to spend time. Lack of A/C during the day would make the rooms uncomfortable on hot days. The included breakfast was also not very exciting however the upside were the staff which were great and in my case very helpful. Given the dependency on electrical devices rooms need power/charging points as limited availability in common area. I found the location OK with lots of eating facilities nearby and was even able to walk to the Old City. On the value for money side it was not great but probably comparable to other Panama City accommodation.

Hostal muy comodo y amplio en pleno centro de Panama. amplias areas comunes y tienen hasta 9 baños muy comodos. Habitaciones comunes amplias con baño confortable. Lockers para incluir pertenencias personales. Staff immejorable Gracias a LUIS,IVAN, NATALY y la Sra:LAURA me dejaron sentir como en casa..Ofrecen desayunos incluido( alternandose entre panquecas y arepas) y almuerzos y cenas buenos a 5$. Un mini market de 24 horas justo al lado. fast food a 3 minutos Muy facil para llegar desde el aeropuerto..tomar el bus que indica CORREDOR SUR y que te dejen en la parada del Centro comercial Multicentro(1,25$)a 4 minutos caminado . WIFI bueno y rapido! Gracias por todo..

I was staying at Casa MonaLisa for 3 nights and absolutely loved it! Carmen, Melisa and all the other people working there were so helpful, caring and made my time there really special. Every night guests and staff would sit on the rooftop, listening to music/having a good time and even during daytime it is nice to hangout in the chill-out-areas of the hostel. ||It is very well located in Panama City - everything‘s easy to reach and the area is very safe. ||I would always come back again...:)

Recomendado . Es el mejor hostal calidad -precio en el ir he estado alrededor del mundo . La atención es muy buena y tratan de hacerte feliz como si fueras de la familia . Tiene desayuno gratis todos los días . Tiene cocina amplia con utensilios para cocinar . Puedes usar las refrigeradoras . Los baños son amplios . El espacio común es grande y cómodo . Tiene parqueo y está en una zona cercana a comidas y más hoteles además está en una calle sin salida por lo que es muy tranquilo . Los cuartos : depende el que escoja yo escogí el más barato las camas son muy muy cómodas aunque cuando hay mucha gente combinado con la humedad de Panamá huele un poco mal . Durante el día no hay aire acondicionado . Pero hay aire acondicionado durante toda la noche en las habitaciones. Totalmente recomendado . Además tiene una idea genial de algunos de los edificios más famosos de Panamá.

Casa Mona Lisa is located in a very central area. Go to the awesome rooftopbar of the Hard Rock Cafe! It is just around the corner and the view is stunning! Inside the hostel you will have the change to enjoy the most comfortable matresses I have ever had in my life! This experience is really worth it and will give you energy for all day long. Moreover there is free water and a beautiful terace to enjoy by day and night. Casa Mona Lisa is very clean. The hostal stuff is super friendly. Whatever you need they will help you. Have a chat with Carmen and your day will be full of sunshine;) I promise! The hostal has really good vibes! It feels more like in a family here. You will love it without any doubt. Enjoy!

I booked this through booking.com and was very dissapointed. I booked a private room and they don't have air con as advertised. There is an air con machine in the hallway and a fan blows this into the rooms. It's only on from 9pm to 7am and its very hot and humid in Panama. I was also surprised at the number of young single men who seem to be living here, re short term guests is seems that there was only me and a group of three girls staying there. The room was falling apart, one wall didn't even go all the way up to the ceiling, there was a gap of approx 10 inches between the wall and the ceiling. The bed was falling apart, there was no mirror and the shelf for my clothes was very rough and ready with splinters to beat the band. The bathroom is a disgrace with half the ceiling missing and no water at all coming out of the hot tap. None of the staff speak English although they claim they do so it was very difficult to sort things out with them. They also charge for use of a towel!!!! ||||Maybe this would suit you if you are a young single male and don't really care what conditions you stay in.||||I have stayed in hostels all over the world and this is by far the worst one. I ended up agreeing with them to pay some of the nightly charge and I left and went to an AirBnB, they then put me as a no-show on booking.com so I couldn't leave a review there, hence the review here.

Para backpackers es un muy buen hostal, económico y la localización es bien céntrica, pero al mismo la calle donde está ubicado es muy tranquila. Hay mucho espacio dentro del hostal, varios baños que mientras estuve los mantenían limpios; cuenta con terraza, patio, sala de estar, tele, wifi y una cocina super equipada y limpia. Tienen AC, pero se prende solamente durante la noche. El desayuno no es gran cosa, pero el café es rico, igual te puedes cocinar. El staff y el dueño siempre fueron amables y atenciosos. También hay la opción de habitaciones privadas. Vi otros hostels por el mismo precio, y sin duda este es mejor.
